Mother's Day: A Photo Diary

First thing in the morning (if you know Addison, you know I mean FIRST THING) Addison brought me the gift he had made in school. Very sweet.
I wore my new shoes.
At church, the men made us lunch, so we skipped Relief Society and ate.

Addison (with a little help) got me this beautiful orchid that I will probably kill because I have problems keeping indoor plants alive. Tom has assured me it will live.
Addison and Tom went to the beach and collected a few treasures, including a crab leg and seaweed, while I....
slept!... My favorite part of the day.
Then we went to Black Bear so that I could eat 7-grain almond pancakes because Monday begins a new way of eating for me. Good luck to me!I actually ended up ordering something different (I have no idea why. We were at Black Bear, and I'm pretty sure that's the only thing I like there.) and Tom, being as sweet as he is, ordered the pancakes. Guess what Tom ended up eating.

(Not pancakes)

Sounds like a perfect day! I think I need to get a "rain check" for Mother's Day...it was full of family things and I wanted a nap and breakfast in bed more than anything!

Funny about ordering. Sounds like Tom is almost as smart as I am when we go out and eat!

I'm so glad you had a nice day. I love your orchid, tell Addison his present was VERY cute, and tell Tom he is a very nice guy to eat the wrong order. By the way what's your new way of eating?

Amy, my new way of eating is no sugar, no bread for at least two weeks. I'm on day nine today, and except for breakfast (which is now pretty much eggs only)it's going pretty well. Crazy you say? I know it.
